During twelve years as a U.S. diplomat, Brett became a specialist in using strategic communications to influence the course of crisis and conflict. As Director of Global Engagement at the White House, he created some of the government’s most innovative international programs for reaching new audiences around the world. While at the White House, he was responsible for public diplomacy programs, international media, crisis communications, and global entrepreneurship programs. Brett coordinated the United States’ response to Russian propaganda, developing the first interagency communications taskforce to push back against misinformation. Brett also unified public and private entrepreneurship programs for the first time under one banner, as part of the President’s Spark Global Entrepreneurship initiative.

While in the diplomatic service, Brett worked in the Ivory Coast, Liberia, Guinea, Iraq, Venezuela, Argentina, Zambia, and Eritrea. In his current role as President of the Global Situation Room®, he runs a consulting firm specializing in strategic communications, international public policy, and crisis management. He also serves as an adjunct faculty member of the Federal Executive Institute, where he trains senior U.S. Government leaders on strategy and world affairs. Brett graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with degrees in International Relations and Political Science. He holds a Masters in Global History from the London School of Economics. Brett speaks fluent Spanish and French.

Leo McAdams joined Enterprise Ireland in 1996 as a Marketing Advisor with the Paris office. Prior to joining Enterprise Ireland, he worked for a number of tech companies based in Paris, including acting as Export Manager for a French SME.  From 1999-2007 he held Management positions in Enterprise Ireland offices in Spain and Italy before joining Investment Services Division in 2007 based in Dublin. 

As Manager of the Equity Department from 2008 to 2012, Leo was responsible for the management of Enterprise Ireland's equity portfolio.  

In March 2012, he became Manager of the Financial Services & BPO Department responsible for supporting both start-ups and established Fintech companies and established BPO companies. In July 2015 he was appointed Divisional Manager ICT & ITS extending his responsibilities to all Services and Technology client companies. Leo is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin where he studied Business Studies.  He also completed an MBA with the Open University.

Marcus Dufour joined the Global Recruitment Bureau of the Mississippi Development Authority in June, 2016 as a Project Manager. In this position, Marcus works with team members, state officials, communities, and economic development partners to recruit new business to Mississippi. Marcus’ target sectors include warehousing and distribution, and firearms and ammunition. However, Marcus also has worked several textile and automotive supplier projects.

Before joining Global Recruitment, Marcus served as a Program Manager for the Community Services Division at the Mississippi Development Authority. In this role, Marcus assisted economic development projects by implementing state and federal grants and loans, and incentive programs.

Marcus holds a master’s degree in business administration from Millsaps College, in Jackson,  Mississippi, and he holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Southern Mississippi.

This success led to an acquisition by Vista Equity Partners in October 2015.

Prior to Cadency, he was Trintech Corporate President & CEO of Concuity, a US business which he started in 2008 in cloud based healthcare revenue cycle management. Led growth in SaaS revenue to approximately $10 million over 18-month period and to sale of business for $35 million in 2010.

He was also CEO of ReconNET (Trintech’s main operating business), a US business providing large retailers with reconciliation and data services. Grew revenue by over 3X to $30 million, and EBITDA margins to 35% over a 5-year period from 2006 to 2011.

Started Trintech career as Chief Financial Officer and took company public in 1999 with an IPO on NASDAQ. Originally qualified as a chartered accountant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers, where he worked in Dublin, London, Brussels and New York.
