The intention of the E3 conferences is to put the power of global expansion into every entrepreneur’s hands through simplification and relationships. During twelve years as a U.S. diplomat, Brett became a specialist in using strategic communications to influence the course of crisis and conflict. As Director of Global Engagement at the White House, he created some of the government’s most innovative international programs for reaching new audiences around the world. While at the White House, he was responsible for public diplomacy programs, international media, crisis communications, and global entrepreneurship programs. Brett coordinated the United States’ response to Russian propaganda, developing the first interagency communications taskforce to push back against misinformation. Brett also unified public and private entrepreneurship programs for the first time under one banner, as part of the President’s Spark Global Entrepreneurship initiative.
While in the diplomatic service, Brett worked in the Ivory Coast, Liberia, Guinea, Iraq, Venezuela, Argentina, Zambia, and Eritrea. In his current role as President of the Global Situation Room®, he runs a consulting firm specializing in strategic communications, international public policy, and crisis management. He also serves as an adjunct faculty member of the Federal Executive Institute, where he trains senior U.S. Government leaders on strategy and world affairs. Brett graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with degrees in International Relations and Political Science. He holds a Masters in Global History from the London School of Economics. Brett speaks fluent Spanish and French.
Leo McAdams joined Enterprise Ireland in 1996 as a Marketing Advisor with the Paris office. Prior to joining Enterprise Ireland, he worked for a number of tech companies based in Paris, including acting as Export Manager for a French SME. From 1999-2007 he held Management positions in Enterprise Ireland offices in Spain and Italy before joining Investment Services Division in 2007 based in Dublin.
As Manager of the Equity Department from 2008 to 2012, Leo was responsible for the management of Enterprise Ireland's equity portfolio.
In March 2012, he became Manager of the Financial Services & BPO Department responsible for supporting both start-ups and established Fintech companies and established BPO companies. In July 2015 he was appointed Divisional Manager ICT & ITS extending his responsibilities to all Services and Technology client companies. Leo is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin where he studied Business Studies. He also completed an MBA with the Open University.

Suzanne Lynch is the Washington Correspondent for the Irish Times.
She was educated at University College Dublin before completing a doctorate at Cambridge University in English Literature.
Prior to her posting to Washington, she was European Correspondent for the Irish Times. Based in Brussels for four years, she led coverage of the euro zone crisis, Brexit and the refugee crisis. During her career at the Irish Times she worked as a financial journalist, covering both domestic and international business news. She has also written extensively for British and Irish media on arts and cultural issues.
She currently covers US politics from Washington and is a regular contributor on radio and TV in Ireland and internationally.
Narbeli is an accomplished international marketing and finance professional with over 25 years of international business experience. She has developed and implemented successful international and domestic marketing strategies, and has led all facets of the marketing plan execution process. Her expertise includes strategic market analysis, forecasting, planning and building brand awareness.
As of January 1, 2015, she became the Economic Development Corporation (EDC) Director of International Affairs responsible for all global aspects of the Kansas City, Missouri development under Mayor Sly James. Previously she was the Managing Director of her own importing business, Narbeli’s Imports LLC founded in 2003. Additionally, she is an UMKC International Business and Finance professor teaching undergraduates and graduates on international Management, Marketing and Finance, directing study abroad programs to Spain, and training corporations on how to successfully expand their companies’ product and services globally. Narbeli also served as the 2014 Past President of The International Trade Council of KC and current serves as Board of Director for the International Relation Council.
Marcus Dufour joined the Global Recruitment Bureau of the Mississippi Development Authority in June, 2016 as a Project Manager. In this position, Marcus works with team members, state officials, communities, and economic development partners to recruit new business to Mississippi. Marcus’ target sectors include warehousing and distribution, and firearms and ammunition. However, Marcus also has worked several textile and automotive supplier projects.
Before joining Global Recruitment, Marcus served as a Program Manager for the Community Services Division at the Mississippi Development Authority. In this role, Marcus assisted economic development projects by implementing state and federal grants and loans, and incentive programs.
Marcus holds a master’s degree in business administration from Millsaps College, in Jackson, Mississippi, and he holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Conor is based at the U.S. Embassy Dublin where he leads the SelectUSA Program in Ireland. In January 2017, SelectUSA opened its 12th international office in Ireland in order to assist Irish companies looking to set up or expand in the United States. SelectUSA is the only national-level investment promotion program in the United States, designed to facilitate high-impact business investment that advances U.S. economic growth, job creation, and innovation.
Prior to his role at the U.S. Embassy Dublin, Conor spent three and a half years as the Head of Investment in the British Embassy Ireland. Before this, Conor was part of Enterprise Ireland’s graduate program where he worked with an Irish based SME in South Carolina. Having studied International Business for both his Degree and Masters, Conor has a strong passion for assisting Irish companies in growing their international footprint.
Richard Ettenson, Ph.D,. is Professor and Keickhefer Fellow of Global Marketing, Business Strategy and Brand Strategy, Global Business Faculty, Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University. His expertise helps companies and executives align their business strategy with their marketing and branding efforts to create value for customers, employees and shareholders. He is also a senior partner in Type 2 Consulting, a global top echelon business strategy consultancy based in New York City.
A multiple winner of Thunderbird’s “most valuable and effective professor” award, Professor Ettenson has extensive MBA, executive education and consulting experience and has delivered impactful global programs across five continents to senior executives from top multinational companies. Prior to joining Thunderbird in 1999, Professor Ettenson served on the faculties of The Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago, The University of Maryland, College Park, and Georgetown University. He also served as Head of the Marketing Area in The School of Business at Bond University (Australia). Professor Ettenson and his family are dual citizens of the U.S. and Australia and recently he won a Gold Medal for basketball at a Masters Games event in Australia where his team went undefeated.

Joe Tynan leads the PwC Ireland Tax team of over 500 people since July 2015. He has over 20 years professional experience in advising Irish and International companies on global structures, Intellectual Property, M&A and tax matters in general. Tynan frequently lectures and contributes to the media on tax policy matters.
Joe Tynan is an International Tax Partner and leads PwC Ireland’s Tax practice. He specialises in international tax planning for International Technology, Services and Life Science companies. Joe assists companies design and implement structures that ensure companies meet their tax obligations and deliver value to shareholders. He also advises on R&D tax credits, Intellectual Property planning. Once the structure is designed, Joe assists the company to implement it and to maintain it on an ongoing basis.
Joe has 25 years of international tax experience. He has advised Irish and international groups on a wide range of tax matters. He also lectures and writes on Irish and international tax matters.
Paul Byrne is currently CEO of, and an investor in, CurrencyFair, a rapidly-growing Dublin based business which provides consumers and small businesses with access to exchange rates for making international payments normally only offered by banks to large businesses. He joined the business in October 2016 with a view to scaling it globally and capitalizing on the growing international demand for fairer financial services for all.
In addition to CurrencyFair, he works with Enterprise Ireland, Frontline Ventures, and the Commissioner for Startups to provide hands-on guidance, and mentorship to high-growth ambitious software companies seeking to "Accelerate Success" and being relevant globally.

Prior to CurrencyFair, he founded Cadency in 2011, a highly profitable SaaS workflow and finance automation business which grew new revenue bookings in excess of 100% year-over-year for 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 whilst increasing headcount to 250 people at exit. This success led to an acquisition by Vista Equity Partners in October 2015.
Prior to Cadency, he was Trintech Corporate President & CEO of Concuity, a US business which he started in 2008 in cloud based healthcare revenue cycle management. Led growth in SaaS revenue to approximately $10 million over 18-month period and to sale of business for $35 million in 2010.
He was also CEO of ReconNET (Trintech’s main operating business), a US business providing large retailers with reconciliation and data services. Grew revenue by over 3X to $30 million, and EBITDA margins to 35% over a 5-year period from 2006 to 2011.
Started Trintech career as Chief Financial Officer and took company public in 1999 with an IPO on NASDAQ. Originally qualified as a chartered accountant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers, where he worked in Dublin, London, Brussels and New York.
